Description

NGC 7606 is a spiral galaxy situated 100 million light years away in Aquarius, it is about 165,000 light years across and is larger than the Milky Way.

Processed in Pixinsight, Photoshop and Maxim DL for deconvolution. This data was very intimidating to me, but redoing it several times, I got a result I am happy with.

Thank you to  www.throughlightandtime.com for this incredible data, imaged in LRGB on the CDK 1000 at El Sauce, Obstech, Chile
Integration Time: 24 hours

Overview of processing:
Lum: MLT Denoise 4 layers, stretch in small steps using AutoHistogram and HistogramTransformation in Pixinsight. Use Maxim DL to deconvolve and get the fine detail in the Lum. Bring back to Pixinsight and use LocalHistogramEqualization with a Lum Mask protecting stars too, to get out the galaxy structure.  Put Lum aside.

RGB: ChannelCombination, use Arcsignstretch and HistogramTransformation to gradually stretch in small steps. Iterative process. Use ColorSaturation to get color to where I was happy with it. Also used Photoshop Vibrance tool to adjust color. starless.

Lum + RGB using LRGBCombination.

FInal tweaks in Photoshop to get detail and color using CameraRaw filter. Crop and enhance background galaxies in Photoshop.
